Amanda Jane Cooper Takes Over Glinda Duties on National Tour
A new member has been announced for the First National “Wicked” Tour production. The new Glinda will be Amanda Jane Cooper. She will replace Chandra Lee-Schwartz and start performances at Broward Center in Ft. Lauderdale, FL on April 19.
Cooper joins a cast which includes Jackie Burns playing Elphaba, Mark Jacoby in the role of the Wizard and Randy Danson playing Madame Morrible.
Cooper’s New York credits include the Abingdon Theatre’s “Letter From Algeria,” and the Fringe Encore Series/Lucille Lortel production of “BUNKED! A New Musical.” Other roles include playing Geraldine Barclay in the Classical Theatre and Pittsburgh Irish production of “What the Butler Saw” as well as Little Red Ridinghood as part of CMU’s “Into the Woods.” Cooper’s film credits include “Homecoming” and “Smart People.”
