Theatre fans in Charlestown, South Carolina will be spellbound as “Wicked”, the Tony Award winning Broadway musical that has left audiences and critics in awe and utter fascination, is zapping deep south for a two week run at the North Charleston Performing Arts Centre in spring next year, from April 18 to 29, 2012.
A toast of Broadway when it premiered in 2003 and winner of three Tony Awards, “Wicked” is the fascinating story of two witches, Elphaba the Wicked Witch of the West and Glinda the Good Witch of the North. A story of friendship, aspirations, courage and taking control over one’s destiny, “Wicked” will surely fill everyone’s hearts with enchantment and bittersweet emotions through its story, music, the colorful characters, costumes and vivid and larger-than-life set designs.
