Wicked Extends Singapore Run by a Month
‘Wicked’ has indeed captivated Singapore. The smash hit musical which chronicles the story of the Witches of Oz has created an overwhelming demand for tickets, causing organizers to extend the musical’s engagement till February 26, 2012, with the opening date still penciled in for December 6, 2011, to be mounted at the Marina Bay Sands Grand Theater.
“The demand for tickets to WICKED in Singapore has been phenomenal,” explains Milan Rokic, EVP and Managing Director of BASE Entertainment Asia, the company responsible for the Singaporean production of the Tony and Grammy award winning Broadway musical, which has won a total of 35 awards to date.
