Wicked Miami | Adrienne Arsht Center
You’d think with a thriving Broadway scene with the populous the size of Miami that Broadway’s hottest shows would pencil in the Magic City into their touring plans quite regularly. That hasn’t been the case with the dual touring companies of Broadway’s Wicked of late. Its been five long years since the special productions came through town, and the company is about to make up for that collective neglect with a 2015 run from March 11 – 29.
Wicked tells the curious tale of the two witches of Oz — Galinda and Elphaba. The two polar opposites come to life as pretty and popular versus brainy and green. An unlikely friendship blossoms between the two, but its ultimately tested when their affections land on the same boy. The future of Oz rests in their hands as Dorothy swirls around in her tornado.
